The Eje Cafetero — Colombia's Coffee Triangle — is a UNESCO Cultural Landscape of rolling green hills, colourful pueblos, and the world's finest arabica. Salento's wax palms tower in the Cocora Valley, Filandia's viewpoints stretch to the Andes, and the fincas welcome you to pick, process, and taste coffee at the source. It was here, amid the emerald mountains and the warmth of campesino families, that Disney's creative team found the inspiration for Encanto — staying at Hacienda Bambusa while researching the region's architecture, colours, and spirit. The Madrigal family's magical casita owes its soul to these very hills.
