Jebel Akhdar
Green Mountain
The Green Mountain rises to 2,980 meters above the Omani desert, its terraced villages growing roses, pomegranates, and walnuts in a landscape that feels closer to the Atlas Mountains than the Arabian Peninsula. The canyon rim offers views that drop 1,000 meters to the valley floor, and the air is cool enough for a cardigan, a novelty in this part of the world.
We also reach Diana's Point and the terraced village of Wadi Bani Habib, with Muscat the gateway.
