12-16 days (full EBC), 5-7 days (Namche only)October-November, March-MayPlan this chapter →

The Everest region is Earth's ultimate high place: Sagarmatha National Park holds the highest peak alongside Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. The trek to Base Camp follows the Sherpa trade route through rhododendron forests and past Buddhist monasteries at improbable altitudes.

We also reach the Gokyo Lakes and Base Camp, flown into Lukla's Tenzing-Hillary airport or by helicopter.
